When you're approving a payment request, you may see a prompt to enable your location services. Tyro Health Online may ask for this to verify that a patient is at the location that the healthcare provider has registered as their place of business. This is only required for private health insurance payment requests.
Location Services needs to be enabled for the browser on your phone (for iOS most often this will be Safari, for Android this will most likely be Chrome). To check that location services are enabled before a claim, follow these instructions:
iOS
Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services
Make sure ‘Location Services’ is toggled on at the top
Scroll down and select ‘Safari Websites’
Select the option: ‘While Using the App’
Android
In Chrome browser, to the right of the address bar, tap the ‘More’ icon (three vertical dots) and then Settings
Tap Site settings > Location
Turn Location on
Alternatively, you can choose to not share their location and instead pay for the service fully out of pocket, and submit a claim with your private health insurer directly.
