Cancelling a Medicare bulk bill or DVA claim

Here is how you can cancel a Medicare bulk bill or DVA claim and contacting Services Australia

Unfortunately, Services Australia does not support electronic self-cancellation of Medicare bulk bill or Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) claims once submitted. Therefore, you will need to contact Medicare/DVA to cancel or adjust submitted claims.

Please note that Medicare patient claims can be self-cancelled the same day they are raised via the Tyro Health Online portal. Some integrated practice management systems may also offer this function.

Contact the relevant Services Australia department as below:

  • To cancel a Medicare bulk bill claim or enquire on status, please contact the eBusiness team on 1800 700 199 or email ebusiness@servicesaustralia.gov.au

  • To cancel a DVA claim or enquire on status, please call DVA provider help on 1300 550 017
