More information on when to attach a script to a digital invoice

For pharmacy claims, you may be required to select the type of script after entering an item code and price. And, depending on the script type and the funder, an attachment may also be required to review a claim.

Comcare invoicing for pharmacy

Before you start, please ensure that you follow the Comcare Pharmacy Policy when providing medication for clients that have a claim with Comcare. Further, please review Comcare’s Pharmacy Pricing Policy for further information relating to what Comcare will pay in regards to pharmacy related items.

Script type

Attachment

Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS)

None required

Private

For all PBS available items - dispensed as private - or Private medications, a copy of the original script plus Repeat form (if applicable) is required.

Over the counter (OTC)

No attachment is required, but specific medication descriptions are required.

Note, Schedule 8 medications - whether PBS listed or not - require a copy of the private prescription.
