Tyro Health Online’ ECLIPSE integration enables health professionals to process online eligibility checks and submit both in-patients medical and Overseas Visitors (in and out of hospital services) claims via Services Australia.

Submitting claims for deceased patients follow the same steps as other in-patient claims with ECLIPSE - check out our step-by-step guide on how to submit an in-patient claim.

Date of Service with IMC and OVS claims

The Online Patient Verification under 'patient details' checks the Medicare and Private Health Insurance details using today's date by default. For deceased patients, their cover may no longer be valid, so the check will return an error. Our solution will re-run the OPV check on submission of a claim and uses the earliest Date of Service (DoS).

To re-run the OPV before submitting the claim, proceed through the claim form and enter at least one DoS for a Medical Event. This will result in the OPV using the earliest DoS from the medical event.
