If you submit admitted patient (in-hospital) services, a Facility ID is required for most Medicare, DVA and ECLIPSE claims. This Facility ID looks like a provider number but is actually specific to the facility - not an individual provider. Our system will validate the format of the Facility ID but only Services Australia can determine if the facilityId is valid for a given admission date.

Facility IDs may also be known as the Commonwealth Hospital Facility Provider Number. This number is a unique identifier of a Registered Hospital or Day Surgery facility. This ID does not need to be registered with Tyro Health.
