Following feedback from our healthcare providers, Tyro Health has decided to delay the mandatory implementation of 2FA for business admins. This will give users additional time to prepare, especially those who share accounts - please refer to our secure your Tyro Health account article for more information, including the benefits of never sharing your login credentials.
Introduction
As an organisation operating in the Healthcare industry with a high degree of personal information, we deeply care about keeping our users’ businesses and patient data safe and secure.
Tyro Health Online users with ‘Business Administration’ level access have complete control of their business account, which comes with a high degree of responsibility to protect patient/provider data and manage settlement bank account details.
Therefore, to support and protect our users we have implemented a requirement for all ‘Business Administrator’ users to have 2FA enabled on their account by default.
What does this mean?
The Tyro Health Online portal experience will continue to operate as you know it. With 2FA mandatory, you are required to authenticate on login with a second factor authentication code.
Once authenticated, you can log into Tyro Health Online for 28 days before needing to reauthenticate.
Note: If you are a Business Administrator of one business, but also have access to other businesses (not as a Business Administrator), then 2FA will still be mandatory across your entire Tyro Health account login.
How do I enable 2FA on my account?
Read our dedicated article which guides you through the steps on how to enable Two-factor authentification for your Tyro Health account.
