How to change locations on the Tyro Health Pro Key

How location changes work on the Pro Key for EFTPOS payments vs Private Health Insurance (PHI) claims, plus how to switch the PHI claims location on the device.

Before you begin

  • During initial setup, if your business has multiple locations in Tyro Health Online, you must pick one for payments and claims. If there is only one lactation, it's selected by default.

  • You can move the device to other locations, but note the differences below for EFTPOS vs PHI.

EFTPOS payments (Card transactions)

  • A Pro Key is restricted to one EFTPOS location per device.

  • If you change the device's location on the Pro Key, standard card transactions and gap payments will still show against the original (default) location in Transaction Reports in the Tyro Merchant Portal.

  • To change the EFTPOS transaction location for the device, and authorised individual must contact Tyro Customer support by phone or form submission.

Private Health Insurance (PHI) claims

You can switch the PHI claims location directly on the Pro Key once the additional location(s) exist in Tyro Health Online.

Change locations for Private Health Claims

  1. On the main Pro Key screen, tap Location name at the bottom.

  2. Select the desired location from the list.

  3. The provider list on the device will update to show providers onboarded to that selected location in Tyro Health Online.
