By default, you can process payments & claims on the Tyro Health Pro Key by entering the amount of the payment or claim directly on the machine, but you can also link it to your Practice Management Software (PMS) system so the transaction details are sent to the EFTPOS machine from the PMS, allowing for faster transactions, fewer errors and easier reconciliation.

To be able to do this, you will need to set your Tyro Health Pro Key machine to integrated mode, and then pair it with your PMS so they are able to properly communicate with each other.

Before you start

What you will need:

  • The Tyro Health Pro Key setup, and the PMS system, both with an active internet connection.

  • The PMS needs to be one that supports integration with Tyro Health EFTPOS. You can find more information about what PMS we integrate with on our PMS Partners page of our website.

Step-by-step

  1. On the home screen of the EFTPOS machine, tap the hamburger menu button in the top left corner.

  2. Open the Payment settings menu.

  3. Enter the Admin Password.

  4. Scroll down to the Operating mode settings.

  5. Tap the Mode menu option.

  6. Select Integrated from the menu option.

After setting the Tyro Health Pro Key machine to integrated mode, it will guide you through the pairing process if this is the first time in integrated mode, or will be set to wait for a transaction request from your PMS if previously paired.

You may still need to configure your PMS before being able to process integrated transactions. To check this:

  1. Scroll to the Operating mode section of the settings menu

  2. Check the Pair with POS/PMS menu option

    1. If it says Not paired then further configuration is required

    2. If it says Paired then you should be able to process integrated transactions straight away after navigating out of the menus and to the integration idle screen.

  3. You will be given the option to Pair with another POS/PMS - if you would like to pair another PMS with this EFTPOS machine you can do this now.

If you open the Pair with POS/PMS menu option:

  • You will be able to see a list of all paired devices

  • You will be able to pair additional POS/PMS to your Tyro Pro EFTPOS machine
