Before you start
What you will need:
The provider location(s) you want to switch between must already exist in Tyro Health Online (THO).
The relevant provider numbers must be onboarded for claiming in THO for that provider location.
Overview
You can use a Tyro Health Pro Key for standalone claims at more than one provider location. Each provider location may have different provider numbers, and the Pro Key can only be set to one provider location at a time.
Changing the selected provider location on the Pro Key:
Updates the provider location used for claiming (and filters the provider list you see)
Updates claim reporting by provider location (via THO)
This does not update the terminal’s location on the payments/EFTPOS side. This is set per-device.
How to change the current provider location
From the home screen
From the home screen, tap the location name at the bottom of the screen.
Choose the required provider location from the list (this list is based on your THO provider locations).
From the main menu
From the home screen, open the menu using the ≡ hamburger icon.
Tap the provider location at the top of the menu.
Choose the required provider location from the list (this list is based on your THO provider locations).
Change provider location during a claim
Start a claim and go to the provider selection screen.
In the header, tap the provider location name.
Choose the required provider location from the list (this list is based on your THO provider locations).
Important: changing provider location doesn’t update payments/EFTPOS location
If you change the provider location on the Pro Key, this only changes the provider location used for claiming (and which provider numbers appear).
It does not change the terminal’s payments location (MID).
If you have physically moved the terminal to a different practice address:
You’ll need to contact Tyro Support (1300 01 TYRO) to update the payments location, or accept that payments reporting may be incorrect.
Troubleshooting
I can’t see my provider number or provider location
This is usually because the Pro Key can only show providers for the currently selected provider location.
Try this:
Change the Pro Key’s provider location (using either method above), then check the provider list again.
If it still doesn’t appear:
Only provider numbers that are set up in THO and on-boarded for that claim type in THO will display on the Pro Key.
If a provider number isn’t onboarded in THO for that claim type, it won’t be available on the terminal.
