A Medicare claim is usually completed within 24-48 hours.

For a patient claim that's been pending for over 48 hours, it's best to contact Medicare directly regarding the claim as their team will be able to tell you if this has been paid, or if you will need to submit this claim again.

You can call Medicare's eBusiness line on 1800 700 199 and quote your Medicare reference number.

This can by found within the transaction under "Medicare reference"

If the "Outstanding" Medicare claim is a bulk billed claim, this can often mean Medicare don't have the practitioner set up for Medicare Online.

In this situation it's to contact the Medicare eBusiness team on 1800 700 199 and ask if the practitioner is set up for the correct Medicare location/minor ID for the practice location - to find this in your Tyro Health Online portal click here.
