Back dating a private health insurance claim means submitting a claim for a service that has been performed on an earlier date (to the submission via Tyro Health Online).

Can this be done in Tyro Health Online?

Health funds have their own rules regarding processing of claims for services performed in the past, however, in most cases it is not permitted. It is advised that HealthPoint claims are always submitted on the same day as the service was provided.

Note, this can change, i.e. you may have been able to back date claims for a patient in the past, but a new back dated claim may not be approved.

If you require further assistance, you can contact the Tyro Health Online support team by clicking the chat bubble located on the bottom right of your browser or by emailing support@tyrohealth.com.
