Tyro EFTPOS terminal receipts

You are not required to retain physical copies of your terminal receipts for payments.

Transaction information that is included on merchant receipts is available on the Tyro Merchant Portal and can be printed out if required. The Tyro Portal details the amount, date, transaction reference number, and card details (with the card number restricted to the last 4 digits to comply with PCI requirements) for any transactions processed on the EFTPOS machine or Tyro eCommerce facilities, including MOTO, pre-authorisations, as well and refunds, voided transactions and declined transactions.

Directors, authorised signatories and administrators have access by default to the Tyro Merchant Portal, and these users are able to extend access to other staff. Please call Tyro directly on 1300 00 TYRO (8976) if you require assistance getting started.

Tyro EFTPOS Medicare Easyclaim receipts

You are not required to retain Medicare claim receipts for providers. However, for bulk billed claims, evidence of service may be required in the case of an audit by Medicare. Often, this evidence can be satisfied via patient records and appointments in your practice management system, rather than paper claim receipts.

Tyro EFTPOS HealthPoint (private health insurance) claim receipts

Private health insurers require that signed paper claims must be kept on file for at least 5 years for audit purposes.

Tyro Health Online receipts

Invoices and receipts for transactions processed via Tyro Health Online, including payments, Medicare and private health insurance, are stored in Tyro Health Online.
