When using Tyro Health Online Payments, e.g. saving new card details, an 'authorisation' occurs when we securely tokenise the card details to ensure the card is valid.

Initially, a $0 card authorisation is attempted and if this fails, it's automatically retried with a $1 authorisation - cardholders may temporarily see the $1 charge when viewing their online statement, typically 1 - 7 days.

Once authorised, the $1 charge is voided - the transaction is cancelled and isn't deducted from their account. The cardholder can contact their financial institution if they've got concerns.

If you require further assistance, you can contact the Tyro Health support team by clicking the chat bubble located on the bottom right of your browser or by emailing support@tyrohealth.com.
