How to cancel a PHI claim on your Tyro Health Pro Key

Our Tyro Health Pro Key can now be used to make Private Health Insurance claims!

If you do do not have 'Process claim' as an option on your device, please follow these steps to onboard for PHI claims: Set up HealthPoint in Tyro Health Online.

Private Health Insurance claims can be cancelled up until midnight on the same day they were approved.

To cancel a claim:

  1. Select the hamburger icon on the top left of the screen.
    ​

  2. Select β€˜Transactions & refunds’.

  3. Select the claim you would like to cancel from the list (you can search/filter your results if required).

  4. Confirm if this is the correct claim by reviewing the claim details, then select the 'Cancel claim' button at the bottom of the screen.

  5. A pop up will ask you to confirm that you wish to cancel the claim- the action cannot be undone once you proceed.

  6. The claim cancellation will be processed.

  7. The printed member receipt must be handed or emailed to the patient.

  8. If there was a gap payment taken for the claim, an option will be presented to refund the gap.


Note: If the Cancel claim button does not appear, it may be due to:

  • the window for cancelling claims having passed

  • the claim may have already been cancelled, or

  • the claim was previously not approved (to confirm the claim status, ensure the claim response at the top of the page is Approved).
