Tyro Health Online enables you to send bulk billed and private patient claims to Medicare and raise raise claims with the Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) for straight through approval and fast payment.

Please note that following this process will automatically set up claiming for Medicare Online, ECLIPSE & DVA claiming as part of the one process. Please ignore anything not relevant to your practice.

Before you start

Time to complete: 5-10 minutes

What you'll need:

  • Business location information (address & ABN).

  • Provider details (including practice area/specialty and provider numbers)

  • Credit card details to process payments for paid Tyro Health features (if not already provided).

  • ID Documentation for Identity Verification (if your ID check has not been completed).

Step-by-step guide

Step 1: Log in and navigate to the Medicare, DVA & ECLIPSE claiming tile

  1. Log in to Tyro Health Online.

  2. From the sidebar, select โ€˜Get paid.โ€™

  3. Click 'Get Started' on the 'Medicare, DVA & ECLIPSE claiming' tile.

Step 2: Confirm your business & location details

Check that the business details are correct for each location and update if needed.

Step 3: Add provider details

  1. Select existing provider from the drop-down list or add new provider's name.

  2. Select practice location.

  3. Select Professional category.

  4. Select Specialties.

  5. Add provider number.

  6. If a provider practices at multiple locations, click '+ add another line' to add the additional location.

Note: If you have multiple providers to add, click the '+Add another provider button and repeat the above steps. Our support team can assist with the HW027 form for multi-location if required.

Step 4: Add your card details

If you have not completed this step in other workflows, you will be prompted to add your credit card details for billing purposes.

  1. Add your card details.

  2. Click Confirm and Continue.

Note: Your card will be billed at the end of each month based on the number of paid feature transactions you process.

Step 5: Provider online claiming provider agreement form.

Review pop up message and determine if you are required to upload the HW027 Medicare Online Provider Agreement form (there is a click through workflow to assist if you are unsure).

  1. Form Download:

    1. If required, download the form and complete the additional information and send the form to Medicare using the details on page 1 of the form. Then, click 'Continue' (How to complete).

    2. If not requires, click the 'Skip - I don't need agreement forms' button.

Note: Do not submit any claims in Tyro Health Online until Medicare has had time to process your application. Claims submitted too early won't be processed and you'll need to submit them again.

What Happens Next?

  • If you did not need a HW027 form, you can now commence online claiming.

  • If you were required to submit the HW027 form, after submitting the Medicare team will take up to five business days to complete the set up. You should receive a notification from Services Australia to confirm that your provider number has been linked to a new 'Minor ID' (please check your email's junk folder) - This means you're good to start claiming!

  • Services Australia will contact you if there are any issues with your registration.

  • If five business days go by and you haven't heard anything, you can begin submitting claims online. If your claim declines, you will need to contact Services Australia to follow up on your request.

Troubleshooting

  • Sometimes, even if you've received the notification from Services Australia, your provider may not automatically switch to verified in our system. Our team can help to resolve this. Please open the pink chat icon on the bottom right of your screen, and ask the chat to "verify provider number". Please ensure you are logged in and follow the prompts to provide the information requested.
