About Private Health Claim settlement

Private Health Claims via HealthPoint Claims are consolidated into a single settlement.

Important Note: HealthPoint makes one payment to a bank account on any given day. For example, if your practice has multiple providers but the bank account details are the same for each, there will be one daily settlement for all provider claims.

Where payments are deposited

Each claim is processed at the provider number level but settled at the bank account level (the same bank details can be used across multiple provider numbers).

How to update provider bank details

  1. Navigate to your Private Health Insurance settings
    Log into your Tyro Health Online account and select Get Paid from the side bar. Select the Settings cog wheel on the private health insurance payment tile.

  2. Select to the HealthPoint tab
    You may have multiple private health insurance claiming options, such as nib Direct – ensure HealthPoint is selected.

  3. Select the provider
    Hover over the three horizontal dots alongside their record and select Edit. You can now enter the new settlement bank details before clicking Submit.

If you already have Tyro HealthPoint but aren’t set-up in Tyro Health Online, please contact us at healthonboarding@tyro.com update your settlement bank details.

NOTE: Settlement bank detail changes can take up to 5 business days to take effect.

When to expect funds to be settled

Your settlements for Tyro Health Private Health Claiming are managed via HealthPoint Claims which means all claim rebates are processed as part of a single settlement.

Settlement timing update from 19 June, 2026
From Friday 19 June 2026, approved HealthPoint claim rebated paid to NPP-enabled bank accounts will settle the next calendar day, including weekends and public holidays.

If your bank account is non NPP-enabled, your claims will continue to settle next business day.

Settlement timing depends on whether your settlement bank account is NPP-enabled:

  • For NPP-enabled bank accounts, approved HealthPoint claim rebates settle the next calendar day, including weekends and public holidays.

  • For bank accounts that are not NPP-enabled, approved HealthPoint claim rebates settle the next business day.

If claims are approved on Friday, Saturday ,and Sunday:

  • with an NPP-enabled bank account, you will receive separate settlements on Saturday, Sunday and Monday respectively; or

  • with a non-NPP-enabled bank account, you will receive three separate settlements on Monday
