Before you start
Processing a private health rebate estimate online using Tyro Health Online allows you and your patients to instantly view their expected health fund benefit before treatment.
What you’ll need:
Patients details, including Private Health Insurance details
Not all health funds support online claiming or rebate estimates.

Step-by-step guide
Get started and select transaction type
Click the Get Paid tab.
Click the Private Health Insurance tile (select Tyro HealthPoint tab if you have more than one claiming integration setup).
Select the transaction type and choose View an Estimate/Quote.
Select provider details and processing method
Select the location and provider details.
Select Online - view on screen as the processing method.
Enter patient/claimant details and item codes
Select Add New Patient or search for saved patient.
For certain funds, you may be required to enter the card issue number or card issue date details.
Select the item codes (check out HealthPoint Modality Item Codes) and enter the price for the consultation.
Submit
What happens next
The rebate estimate will return the expected benefit amount from the health fund (where supported).
You will also have the option to proceed with submitting it as a calim, edit the details, email the estimate, or dismiss.
