The Tyro Health Pro Key EFTPOS machine offers standalone, on device private health insurance, including the ability to process estimates, directly on the EFTPOS machine, without the need to create a patient card in your practice management system.
Step-by-step guide
 | Step one: Present Health Fund CardSwipe a physical card, tap a digital card, or manually enter the membership number.

 | Step two: Switch from claim to estimate / quoteUse the touch screen to select the 'Change to estimate/quote' button, or press the function key (FUNC). |
 | Step three: Enter the patient's card rankEnter the card rank for the patient as displayed on their private health insurance card. |
 | Step four: Select providerSelect the provider who will be providing the service to the patient. |
 | Step five: Select item codeSelect the item code for the service being provided to the patient that you would like included on the estimate.
Additional item codes can be added in step seven. |
 | Step six: Add the fee amountAdd the cost of the services and select 'Add to claim, or press the green circle button on the key pad. |
 | Step seven: Add additional service items (optional)If you have additional item codes, select to 'Add service item' and repeat steps five and six. |
 | Step eight: Submit estimate / quoteSubmit the estimate by clicking the 'Submit estimate/quote' button or pressing the green circle button on the key pad. |
 | Step nine: Print quote (optional)You have the option to print the quote for the patient or your file. You can also convert the quote to a claim if the patient is happy to proceed. |
