Prerequisites
Before you begin:
If you haven't already, create a Tyro Health Online account here.
Have access to the provider and business information required for Medicare Online registration.Once you've signed up for Tyro Health Online, you can activate Medicare and DVA by following these steps.
Please note:
This activation process will also enable ECLIPSE claiming.
If ECLIPSE is not relevant to your organisation, you can complete the setup and simply ignore any ECLIPSE-related features.
Step-by-step setup
1. Start the activation process
Log in to Tyro Health Online.
Select Get Paid from the navigation menu.
Locate the Medicare Online, DVA & ECLIPSE tile.
Click Get started.
Follow the prompts to:
Enter the required information for Medicare Online registration.
Complete the agreement form requirement check.
Determine whether Medicare Online application forms are required for your providers.
2. Download your Medicare Online application forms (if required)
Once the activation process is complete:
Click Download application form to download your pre-filled Medicare Online forms.
Complete any required sections.
Submit the forms to Medicare to register your providers for online claiming.
To view instructions for completing and submitting the forms:
Select View instructions for completing the forms.
Review the required information and submission process.

Multiple Locations?
If your business operates across multiple locations, additional Medicare Online registration forms and banking details forms may be required.
In this scenario:
You'll see a notification advising that additional assistance is required.
Our team will contact you via email within a few business days to help pre-fill the necessary forms.
3. Complete your Business Verification Check
You may be required to complete a business verification check.
If your organisation has a complex business structure, our Support Team may need to provide additional guidance and will contact you if required.

4. Submit your forms to Medicare and wait five business days
After submitting your Medicare Online registration forms to Medicare:
Allow up to five business days for Medicare to process the registration.
Medicare will generally only contact you if there is an issue with your application.
If five business days have passed and you have not heard from Medicare, you can begin submitting claims online.
IMPORTANT: Do not submit claims through Tyro Health Online until Medicare has had sufficient time to process your application.
Claims submitted before Medicare completes the registration process will not be processed and will need to be submitted again.
Start Claiming
Once you have:
Submitted any required Medicare Online forns, and
Waited five business days for Medicare Processing,
you're ready to start submitting Medicare Online & DVA claims through Tyro HEalth Online.
