Manual claims submissions for the nib MediGap and the GU Health Medical Gap Network will no longer be accepted from 16 June 2023.
For in-patient claiming (MediGap), use our ECLIPSE integration not nib Direct.
nib claim processing options via Tyro Health Online
ECLIPSE is for processing online eligibility checks and submitting In-patient Medical and Overseas Visitors (out of hospital services only) claims via Services Australia. Use our ECLIPSE solution for MediGap, see screenshot below
nib Direct is for select professions and claim types and enables nib private health insurance claims to be processed instantly online without requiring a physical terminal or needing to tap or swipe a membership card. nib Direct cannot be used for MediGap.
Tyro HealthPoint is for processing claims for private health insurance Extras Cover and Overseas Visitors (General Practitioners, certain funds only). Tyro HealthPoint cannot be used for MediGap.
For nib Overseas Visitors claims, in-patient services cannot be submitted via either ECLIPSE or nib Direct - however, out-patient services can be submitted via all three (General Practitioners only for Tyro HealthPoint).
