How to process a 'same day cancellation' for claims submitted from Tyro Health Online and a Tyro terminal

Introduction

Tyro HealthPoint claims can be submitted either via Tyro Health Online or a Tyro terminal, but must always be cancelled from where they originated. For example:

  • HealthPoint claims processed via a Tyro EFTPOS machine and raised from an integrated PMS must also be cancelled from the same integrated PMS.

  • HealthPoint claims processed via a Tyro EFTPOS machine and raised from Tyro Health Online must also be cancelled from Tyro Health Online.

  • HealthPoint claims processed via Tyro Health Online cannot yet be cancelled, but when available, must be cancelled from Tyro Health Online.

Terminal claims cannot be reversed or cancelled from a Tyro terminal directly, this must be done from the integrated PMS or Tyro Health Online - you may also need to contact the Private Health Fund that was used as well.

Requests sent from partner PMS

Please refer to your PMS help centre or contact them directly for specific instructions, but the below pattern is potentially similar, i.e. a 'cancel' button for Tyro HealthPoint may be available on the specific invoice screen.

Requests sent from Tyro Health Online

During the claim workflow, the claim can be cancelled before sending the request to the connected Tyro Terminal (bottom left of screen) and from the dialog box (on your browser, in Tyro Health Online) at points after the request has been sent to the terminal.
