After setting up your business for Tyro HealthPoint via Tyro Health Online, you can enable new providers at new/existing locations or remove existing providers.

Before you start

To access the below options, you’ll need to navigate to the ‘Get Paid’ page (using the sidebar) and select ‘Settings’ on the ‘Private Health Insurance’ tile.

Ensure you are on the ‘Tyro HealthPoint’ tab if you have multiple private health insurance claiming options set up.

How to add a new provider

If you have not set up Tyro HealthPoint in Tyro Health Online before, please check out our step-by-step guide on getting started.

  1. Select the 'Add Provider' button.

  2. Enter the provider’s details, including settlement bank details.

  3. Click ‘Submit’.

The providers will be then be set up to submit claims digitally (and via your terminal where available).

After submission

  • Providers will show as ‘Pending’ after submission and will switch to 'Active’ once reviewed and approved. You should be able to submit claims within 1-2 business days once approved.

  • If you try running a rebate estimate / quote via Tyro Health Online, a successful submission means the provider number has been registered with that particular health fund - check out our step-by-step guides on how to submit digital and terminal claims.

How to edit an existing provider’s details

An existing provider number cannot be edited, it can only be deleted and changed by adding a new provider number (e.g. following a name change – a new provider letter is issued) - however, the default terminal to be selected when claiming using Tyro Health Online can be managed here.

How to remove a provider

You can remove a provider number and their ability for HealthPoint claiming by hovering over the three horizontal dots alongside their provider details.

Note:

  • Removing provider numbers from the settings in Tyro Health Online will remove their ability to process any private health insurance claims (via HealthPoint).

  • Deleting a staff profile does not remove a provider’s ability to submit HealthPoint claims.
