Set-up via THO may not be available to your business

Before you start

Time to complete: <2 minutes

What you will need:

  • Provider letter or HPOS screenshot, plus some modalities may need an association letter (more detail and examples here)

  • Bank account details for settlement

  • Business location information

If you have not set up Tyro HealthPoint in Tyro Health Online before, please check out our step-by-step guide on getting started.

Getting started

To access the below options, you’ll need to navigate to the Get Paid page (using the sidebar) and select Settings on the Private Health Insurance tile.

Ensure you are on the Tyro HealthPoint tab if you have multiple private health insurance claiming options set up.

Add Provider Step-by-step guide

  1. Select the Add Provider button.

  2. Enter the provider’s details:

    • Add provider details

    • Upload provider letter or HPOS screenshot (more detail and examples here).

    • Add or select saved settlement details for each provider

  3. If you wish to add multiple providers to a location, you can select Add another provider to submit them within the same application.

  4. When all provider's have been added, click Submit.

What Happens Next?

  • Providers will appear as Pending until reviewed (check status here). Once approved, providers will show as Active and can start submitting claims.

  • Once approved, most health funds register providers instantly but some take 1–3 business days to register provider details. Error codes in the 9000 range, indicate the provider has not yet been registered by the specific health fund.

How to remove a provider

  • You can remove a provider number by hovering over the three horizontal dots alongside their provider details and clicking Remove.

Removing provider numbers from the settings in THO will mean no PHI claims can be processed for them. However, deleting a staff profile (from the sidebar menu) does not delete a provider number for PHI claiming.
