Claim instantly with nib Direct
nib has partnered with Tyro Health Online to make it simpler and easier for providers to instantly submit a digital private health insurance (PHI) claim and enable their patients to instantly claim their health fund benefit and just pay the gap.
Supported professions and claim types
nib Direct enables a number of select professions (more coming soon) to instantly process nib claims digitally without requiring a physical terminal or needing to tap or swipe a membership card. This includes:

nib claims can be submitted via three different integrations
nib Direct is for select professions and claim types nib private health insurance claims to be processed instantly online without requiring a physical terminal or needing to tap or swipe a membership card. nib Direct cannot be used for MediGap.
ECLIPSE is for processing online eligibility checks and submitting In-patient Medical and Overseas Visitors (out of hospital services only) claims via Services Australia.

Tyro HealthPoint is for processing claims for private health insurance Extras Cover and Overseas Visitors (General Practitioners, certain funds only). Tyro HealthPoint cannot be used for MediGap.
Payment for approved nib invoices
Approved nib Direct claims are settled by Tyro Health Online with funds deposited into your nominated bank account the following business day after the invoice is approved by nib. For more information on Tyro Health Online settlements, please see here.
PMS integration
As with all Tyro Health Online functionality, nib Direct will be available to access directly on Tyro Health Online at tyrohealth.com. We’re working with our PMS partners to also have this functionality available in their software and we’ll be sharing more information about this shortly.
nib Direct claiming fee
There is no fee for providers to raise digital invoices to nib directly.
